The Naked Zinester: *Now Online*

I had been following Aaron Tsuru on Instagram for almost a year when I finally contacted him. I loved his photography style. The way he photographed women really grabbed me. There is a very vulnerable, voyeuristic edge to it that reminded me of some of my favorite films (Gummo, La Promesse, Faces). I knew that I had to work with him. So I sent him a message. He was very encouraging and excited work with us. We managed to grab this the day before Cherry La Voix moved away and only a week or so before the Tsuru's did. I think you can feel the sense of change and urgency when you watch it. Both of them seem really excited for the next chapter in their lives. I'm happy we managed to capture it.

The Naked Zinester is a short documentary that explores the life and work of Aaron Tsuru. Aaron is an underground photographer and zine maker who has risen to cult status on the internet for being to creator of tsururadio.com and tsurufoto.com

I love the hand drawn text that kind of harkens back on Dr. Strangelove and the detail lacking and the body and face. It's almost not complete without seeing both together.

 Made an update to the poster for The Naked Zinester. It now includes laurels for Cinekink. Hopefully we'll be able to add Brooklyn Film Festival and Boston Underground Film Festival to that list later this year!

Urbindex Edit

Spent the night working and planning over at Yoshi's.  Managed to get a good rough edit of the new Urbindex video done. Now I'll be passing it along for all of the special effects that need done. Keep an eye out for it in early February for the launch of Alloy-X!

Lilith DVD

I finally got my hands on a copy of Lilith. I'm really proud to finally own the first real movie I ever worked on. Even if it was just Art Department PA. So if you watch it, just think to yourself, "Jon probably hung that picture". Can't wait to see what Sridhar has coming down the pipe. I know he's going to go on to do some amazing things.

Urbindex "13 Hours" Shoot

We had a great shoot yesterday with Urbindex for the new single off his upcoming EP, 13 Hours. The shoot was a lot of fun and I can't wait to get rolling on the edit. We shot it on a RED EPIC, so this video is going to be a whole new animal for us.
